Triathlon and Training Fuel Recipes
I remember my first 50 mile bike ride. It wasn't pretty. And that was because I listened to my husband Mark, who (at the time) literally survived on sugar. I am not designed like that! I couldn't look at a jelly baby or a Jaffa cake for months....
So I set about trying to bake savoury and (healthy) sweet things I could pack up and take on rides with me but also have to hand healthy, nutritious goods in the kitchen ready for a pre-training snack or post training/race refuel.
Food is morale so when I was having a tough spot in training or in a race, my 'pick me up' was my home made snacks.
